This is a rooster from Cushing, ME, who lives right on the harbor with great ocean views. The coop looks great and would make a great painting, but at the end of the day, the only thing I had time for was a quick study of this very active chicken.

Absolutely beautiful harmony; love the rim lighting, and your design with the dark rectangle behind the rooster’s tail.
Good work, nice job!
Great colors and terrific composition. What did you do to that bird to get it to pose so well?
Thanks everyone. Ken, I could not get that bird to pose for more than a few seconds at a time, so I just kept trying to get little pieces of information put together to help me paint the pose I liked best. It was not easy.
Love this too! What is the size?
