This barn sits at the mouth of an old mine in Jerome, AZ. I painted this one at the end of a full day. I really like the way the roofs of the attached buildings travel through the composition. Sometimes something as simple as that will make me want to paint a scene. When I finished it I thought this painting was ok, but just ok. As more time goes by, this one has grown on me and I have become quite happy with it.

  1. Colin, nice strong abstract design of shapes and great temperature shifts keeps me moving through your painting happily!
