fall painting in Maine...

Mooring balls in Rockport harbor. This was painted a month ago.

I was away on a surf trip a week ago, and came back to some spectacular weather. This week has been in the 40’s and sunny, with light wind. It’s definitely chilly enough to have to bundle up a bit, but I’ve been thrilled to be able to paint outside every day that I’ve been home. I’m doing a lot of 8×10 paintings; some quick sketches, and some are taking a lot of time and getting very resolved. It’s been exhausting working long days in the cold, but also rewarding. I’m excited about quite a few of these new paintings, and I’ll be getting photos of these new images to post here soon.
