“Society Hill Hotel” 20X16”
Over the weekend I drove down to Philadelphia to pack up the show at the FAN Gallery. I left the gallery with 7 paintings of scenes local to Philadelphia, and brought home some Maine scenes. Now I have a few weeks where I don’t have to go on long road trips, and I’m looking forward to putting in some time painting. The next big event for me is a workshop I’m teaching in 2 weeks. It’s a 4 day workshop, and I’m putting together my supplies and an outline of what I want to focus on. I think it’ll be alot of fun. If any of you are interested feel free to get in touch, or check this link for info:

Everyone participating will be getting room and board on a 100’ schooner, and we’ll be heading ashore each day to do some painting. There are still a few spaces left, and we also have room for anyone who just wants to go on a vacation and ride along on the schooner, but not take the painting workshop. It should be alot of fun.
Also, I’ll be one of three artists in a show in New York City this fall. There is a website for the show, and you can see some of the work that will be a part of the show, here:

My work in the show will be a mix of landscapes and some colorful still lifes.
This week I’ll be bringing some new paintings into Dowling Walsh (Rockland, ME) and also to Oyster (Portland, ME.) Sorry that this whole email is about promotion, and not the ideas of painting, but that’s what I’m wrapped up in right now. I’ll try to get some more creative posts up soon also.
