Truckin'

So I just got back from the opening of my show in Philadelphia at the FAN Gallery. The opening was last Friday and then I drove home Saturday. I’ve been tyring to get a bit of painting done as I run around getting everything up to date again. All while I’m also getting ready to fly to California tomorrow for a wedding! I’m a bit stressed out with all of this, but I wanted to get a quick post up here.

One thing I should mention is that the blog, linesandcolors, has a review of my show in Philly. I met the blogger at the opening and we had a good talk about making art and approaches to painting and color. You an check out his blog at:

I’m coming home from California on Sunday and will be getting right back in the swing of things with painting and posting new work. Until then, have a great weekend.

This painting is a truck in Rockport, Maine. He was parked down on the harbor for a few hours the other day. I like the shape of the truck… an old beater with a custom flat-bed, but I really enjoyed trying to get the strong light on the parking lot in the foreground, along with the way the greens of the truck play off the foliage of the trees in the backgound.
